Teen SOYO
Teen SOYO is the ministry for the young people in our parish who are in grades 7-12, and offers our teenagers an opportunity to serve the community through several religious, social and humanitarian programs. They sponsor several retreats throughout the year, and host various activities each month including social, fellowship, outreach to the community, service oriented, educational, and spiritual aspects. Their projects create a greater sense of community and fellowship and a deeper commitment to the parish. Some of the annual programs that the teens participate in include:
- Advent Lock-in Retreat
- Volunteering at the Boston Rescue Mission
- Diocese of Worcester Lenten Retreat
- Progression Dinner
- Antiochian Village Summer Camp
- Holy Friday Vigil

Upcoming Activities
- Bible Bowl Study- we will be meeting each Tuesday night at 6:30 pm at Dn. Nick Belcher’s house. Whether or not you are interested in competing at the Parish Life Conference this summer, come and learn about the Bible! Contact Elisabeth if you are interested.
- Teen SOYO Diocese Spring Meetings- The meetings are being held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at St. Mary Church in Pawtucket, RI. We will meet at the church at 9 am and travel together. The schedule includes a meeting, lunch and a fun afternoon activity just for teens! Please RSVP to Elisabeth.
- Teen SOYO Progression Dinner!! Join us on March 13th for a Progression Dinner! We’ll have Vespers at the church at 5:30 then leave as a group. Appetizers will be at the Jreige home, the main course will be at the Lakis home, and dessert will be at the Audy home. Please RSVP to Elisabeth by March 6th so that meals can be planned accordingly. If parents are willing to drive, please let Elisabeth know.
- Boston Rescue Mission- Join us on March 14th for a chance to help serve those who need our help. We will leave after church and travel together. We cook and serve the food to the homeless at the Rescue Mission. Please sign up on the bulletin board if interested. We also need parents to volunteer to drive.
- Lenten Retreat!! This year we're very excited to have Archdeacon Seraphim Solof as our retreat leader for the weekend of March 19-21. This year's theme is "Lord I believe - help my unbelief: Our Personal Journey to Christ." More information posted on the bulletin board. Contact Elisabeth for a registration form.
