ما هي الكنيسة

ما هي الكنيسة؟ كيف نعرِّفها؟

من الصعب تعريف الكنيسة والحياة، لأن ما يحدّد يُقيَّد. يُمكن وصف الكنيسة فقط من خلال لغة الصور ، كالكرمة، كجسد المسيح. عندما نسمع كلمة كنيسة، عادة ما يتبادر إلى ذهننا أما البناء الحجري أو الأساقفة والكهنة أو في بعض الحالات ما بناه أجدادنا وورثناه عنهم، كل هذه الأفكار والمفاهيم خطأ ومشوشة، إنها نتاج أفكارنا الخاصة المجبولة بهذا العالم, وهي أبعد ما يكون عن تعليم وتقليد كنيستنا الأرثوذكسية .

بالنسبة للتعليم و التقليد الأرثوذكسي الكنيسة هي :

+نحن الإكليروس والشعب المحبين للمسيح نشكِّل سوية جسد المسيح بغض النظر عن وقت إلتزامنا الكنسي.

+ شركة كائنات عقلانية، روحية وذكية تريد أن تحيا مع الله.

+ مجموعة من الناس الخاطئين الذين يريدن التوبة.

+ جماعة يتعلمون كل يوم من محبة الله لهم أن يحبوا بعضهم البعض وأن يقبلوا بعضهم البعض كما هم في خطاياهم.

+شركة فعلية بين الله والناس (نحن) ،هي طريقة حياة تقود إلى ملكوت السماوات .

+جامعة مقدسة رسولية ، ما يعني أن جذورها ممتدة إلى بداية الخلق ممتدة إلى ظهورات وإعلانات الثالوث القدوس ، إن الكنيسة هي الخلق نفسه لأننا فيها نولد .

+جماعة الذين يسعون إلى القداسة، تحت كنف الكهنة والمطارنة والإيمان المستقيم والتقليد .

+أولئك الذين قبلوا ألوهية المسيح ، وأنه وحده ملك وسيد عليهم وهم يحيون بالروح القدس كلهيب نار.

ما ليس الكنيسة:

+ليست هي منظمة إجتماعية  أو جمعية للناس ذوي العقول المتديّنة أو مجموعة من الناس أصحاب الإهتمامات الماورائية أو طائفة من المختارين الذين في وقت ما في المستقبل سوف يفرحون لهلاك المٌدانين بالجحيم، ولا هي نادي إجتماعي يهدف إلى الرضا المادي وأعمال الخير. ولا هي هذا البناء الذي ورثناه.

يكتب القديس مكسيموس المعترف أن "الكنيسة هي نموذج وصورة الله،لأن لها نفس مهمته "

كما أن الله يجمع كل العناصر في الطبيعة معاً، ليخلق عالماً من الوئام الكامل والجمال الذي لا مثيل له، هكذا تقوم الكنيس بجمع وتوحيد أعداد لا حصر لها من الناس المتمايزين  تحت أنظار الله الفائق القدرة ، بالإيمان الواحد والمحبة.

What is the church?
What is the church? How do we define it?
It is difficult to define church and life because what is defined is
restricted. The Church can only be described in metaphors and images,
as the vine, as the body of Christ.
When we hear the word “church”, we usually think of either the actual
building, the bishops, the priests, or in some cases what our ancestors
built, which we have inherited. All these ideas and concepts are wrong
and unclear, they are the product of our own ideas that are molded in
this world, and they are far from the teachings and tradition of our
Orthodox Church.
According to the Orthodox teachings and tradition, the Church is:
+ We, the clergy, and the Christ-loving people, together constitute the
body of Christ, regardless of the time or duration of our ecclesiastical
commitment.
+ A communion of rational, spiritual, and intelligent beings who want to
live with God.
+ A group of sinful people who want to repent.
+ A group that learns every day from God's love for them, to love each
other and to accept each other as they are in their sins.
+ Real communion between God and people (us), it is a way of life that
leads to the kingdom of heaven.

+ A One, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, which means that its
roots extend to the beginning of creation, extending to the
manifestations and announcements of the Holy Trinity, that the Church
is the creation itself because in it we are born.
+ A group of those who strive for holiness, under the care of priests,
metropolitans, and upright faith and tradition.
+ Those who accepted the divinity of Christ, and that he alone is king
and master over them, and they live by the Holy Spirit as a flame of fire.
What is not the church:
+ It is not a social organization or association for people of religious
minds, or a group of people with metaphysical interests, or a group of
chose ones, who at some time in the future will rejoice in the perishing
of those condemned to Hell, nor is it a social club aimed at material
satisfaction and good deeds. Nor is it this building that we inherited.
Saint Maximus the Confessor writes that “the Church is the model and
image of God, because it has a caring soul.”
Just as God brings all the elements in nature together to create a world
of perfect harmony and unparalleled beauty, so does the Church gather
and unite countless distinct people under the watchful eyes of God
Almighty, with one faith and with love.
